Drew Tessier, Director of Public Affairs, Union Pacific Railroad(left) recently presented LA. Speaker of the House Jim Tucker of Algiers /Terrytown (right) and Westbank Board member Theo Sanders (middle) with a $5,000 check for the West Bank Redevelopment Corporation. This grant will be used for the continuation of Westbank Redevelopment’s work in the communities of Algiers and Terrytown.

The Union Pacific Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Union Pacific Corporation and Union Pacific Railroad. Union Pacific believes that the quality of life in the communities in which its employees live and work is an integral part of its own success. Westbank Redevelopment Corporation is a non-profit organization, formed in 2002, to combat community deterioration on the Westbank of the Mississippi River in the Louisiana parishes of Orleans and Jefferson.
