One of the highlights and newest attractions of Mardi Gras 2007 was Alla Gras in Algiers. Alla Gras is a festival celebrating the Mardi Gras season with music, food and festivities on the day that the Krewe of Alla rolls. The staging takes place on the neutral ground of General DeGaulle Drive between Kabel Drive and Rue Parc Fontaine.

In an effort to improve the neutral ground for next year's festival, the Westbank Redevelopment Corporation board adopted the neutral ground for improvements and has contributed $10,000 for work to be completed by the 2008 event. This is also being done under the direction of New Orleans Parks and Parkways.
